Metamorphosis originated in 2000 under the name one to grow on . . . I, Jennifer Higgins, along with my husband and son (as inspiration, then 3 yrs old) started building and painting children’s stepstools. They became a huge hit and production was in full force. I started being asked to paint and build other things. It grew and blossomed into what is now METAMORPHOSIS. We now, offer much more including in-home mural installations, custom paintings, commercial wood signs, hand painted gifts and accessories, and Handcrafted one-of-a-kind originals. Many of the furniture pieces come from old (structurally sound) pieces that I take and re-invent in some way and make them beautiful. I feel very strongly about doing what I can to save the planet. I take old things and make them new and better, while trying to maintain the character and integrity of the piece. Metamorphosis is all about positive change-not only beautiful meaningful change to a piece of furniture, a blank canvas, or a blank wall, but also to the world we live in. I sell products that make a difference in the world. My mission and my hope is that with each purchase, my customers will feel that they have not only received a high quality piece that is special to them, but know that they have contributed to making this world a better place.
